My name is Mrs. Washington, and I am your child’s school counselor this year. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child! One of the primary aspects of my role as counselor is to equip your child for success at school. Being a successful learner means many things outside of the traditional academic subjects. I currently serve grades PK – 5.
I have the opportunity to conduct Social Emotional lessons with your child’s classroom monthly. These lessons support the teachers in promoting the skills that will help your child succeed in school. I am also here to serve children who are facing life challenges, as a school counselor I can support your child through these transitions by conducting small group counseling or providing outside counseling referral sources.
